Happy New Year! Today, we just wanted to get you a quick update on the real estate market here in Tulsa. The latest statistics are in, and we have some great news.

As we have been reporting, our inventory has been gradually decreasing. We have had more homes selling and going under contract than are coming on the market.

Our supply of homes now sits at around 5.96 months, which is a measurement of how long it would take to sell all the homes for sale if no new ones came on. What this number means is that we are trending more and more towards a seller's market.

If you've been thinking about selling your home, now might be your best chance. Homes that come on the market with a good price, good location, and good condition are selling fast right now.

For buyers, when you see that perfect home, you want to be able to pull the trigger. Get yourself pre-approved, so you can purchase when you want. Interest rates also continue to be near historic lows. Although you might have to make a higher offer to get your home, the savings in interest will be more than worth it.
