Today, we want to discuss seasonality and what it means for your home sale. We've talked to many sellers who are discouraged from the failure to sell their homes; they want to wait until the busy spring season before giving selling another chance. Conventional wisdom would have you think this makes sense - after all, tons of buyers come out during the spring season. However, there is another way to look at it.
Here's the problem: while there will, without a doubt, be more buyers during the spring and summer months, there will also be that many more sellers you will have to compete with. Every discouraged seller is thinking the same thing, "I'll just wait until spring." If you put your home on the market now, you'll have a fraction of the competition and a pool a strong, serious buyers looking to move soon.
